On October 14, 2025, on the main stage of Expand North Star at GITEX Global 2025 in Dubai, the Tumar Innovation Hub was officially launched — an international platform designed to support and scale startups from Central Asia. The hub helps technology teams expand into global markets and connect with investors and corporations from the Middle East.
A partnership that connects regions
The initiative was launched with the support of Astana Hub, IT Park Uzbekistan, and DIFC Innovation Hub. Through the collaboration of these three ecosystems, Tumar Innovation Hub becomes a meeting point for talent, technology, and investment. The platform brings together the strengths of Central Asia and the MENA region, creating an environment for knowledge exchange and international business growth.
Central Asia on the global tech map
The opening took place as part of the Unlocking Central Asia program, which brought together representatives of innovation ecosystems, investors, and tech companies from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and other countries in the region. Participants discussed cooperation opportunities and emphasized the growing role of Central Asia as an emerging center of technological development and digital integration.
The program included a ribbon-cutting ceremony, a panel discussion Bridging Regions, Building Futures: Central Asia–MENA, speeches by international partners, and the signing of new cooperation agreements.
The launch of Tumar Innovation Hub marks an important milestone in the development of Central Asia’s innovation ecosystem. The platform opens new opportunities for startups, investors, and research centers, strengthening the region’s position in the global technological landscape.
