Kazakhtelecom JSC has announced the launch of the second largest artificial intelligence cluster in Central Asia — AI-Farabium. The name honors the philosopher and mathematician Al-Farabi, symbolizing the connection between scientific heritage and modern technology.
The launch of AI-Farabium took place during the international technology forum Digital Bridge 2025 in Astana, attended by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. The event marked an important step in the development of the national digital ecosystem and highlighted the country’s strategic focus on building its own artificial intelligence infrastructure.
A new platform for artificial intelligence
AI-Farabium is designed for tasks that require high computing power and reliable infrastructure. The cluster enables the training of large language and generative models, medical data analysis, development of industrial algorithms, and implementation of smart city and autonomous transport technologies.
It also supports projects in speech and image recognition, content generation, big-data analysis, and process digitalization. This makes AI-Farabium a universal platform for companies, research institutions, and universities working in the field of artificial intelligence.
Modern architecture
The cluster is built on state-of-the-art graphic accelerators and designed to handle large volumes of data. Its computing capacity allows for much faster model training than traditional systems and supports the creation of solutions that meet global technology standards.
