The Mangystau regional administration and Ample Solution Limited are discussing the development of an infrastructure cluster for data centres and AI computing. Preliminary investment is expected to exceed $1.4 billion, according to the regional administration’s press service.
The cluster will combine data centres and energy facilities
Under the preliminary concept, the complex will include data centres, gas-fired and renewable energy facilities, and telecommunications infrastructure.
The computing capacity is expected to support AI model training, cloud services, and large-scale data processing.
Power will come from multiple sources
The project is expected to combine gas-fired power generation with solar and wind energy.
Its telecommunications infrastructure will include connections to national backbone and international networks, backup fibre-optic routes, and digital connectivity across the Caspian Sea.
The parties are defining the terms of the project
Representatives of the regional administration and the investor are discussing the choice of site, electricity and gas supplies, connections to telecommunications networks, and technical requirements.
The parties will also determine possible government support measures. No specific timeline for the construction or launch of the cluster has been announced.
