The eGov.kz electronic government portal, along with its related services such as eOtinish and Smart Bridge, has introduced a third login option, making access to government services more flexible.
How the new method works
Users can now log in using their Individual Identification Number (IIN) as a username and a chosen password. After entering these credentials, identity verification must be completed with an electronic digital signature (EDS).
Previously available authentication methods
Until now, users could access the system in two ways:
• eGov QR — authentication by scanning a QR code via the eGov Mobile app
• EDS-based login — verification through an electronic digital signature
Key features of the new method
The IIN and password login option is designed for situations where mobile network access is unavailable, since this method does not require receiving an SMS code. The system also includes a password recovery function. The final confirmation of login is always completed using the EDS.
The update expands the list of available authentication methods, improving convenience and security when accessing government online services.
